Since I was a child, I have been drawn in by the curiosities of nature, with a growing passion for learning about the world around us. There are so many strange and lovely creatures and plant life that also call this extraordinary planet home! Equally enamored by ghost stories and mysteries, folklore and mythology, I love to illustrate the creatures of the world around me while also exploring all of the facets of human nature.

Embracing both scientific and decorative illustration, my work is heavily influenced by the exquisite detail of natural history and botanical illustrations. It aims to explore the beautiful, strange, and sometimes haunting phenomena of the world as well as invoking a sense of wonder and delight in the viewer. I allow the stories of nature to unfold in a way that highlights both the mystery and uncertainty of the unknown as well as the desire to better understand both ourselves and the world around us. After all, the internal landscape can often feel like its own eco-system, with so many thoughts, ideas, and emotions blossoming, and sometimes creeping, in every corner!

I primarily illustrate flora and fauna, of both the real and imagined varieties, although I also love to explore thoughts and ideas using abstract forms. When not creating art, you can find me studying the wonderful craft of herbalism, out for a nature walk or bicycle ride, or curled up with a good book and a furry companion.

Please note: While my work is heavily influenced by scientific illustrations and realism, most of my pieces are infused with imagined, stylized, or surreal elements. They are meant to be viewed as fine art illustration and are creative interpretations, rather than realistic depictions, of nature.
